Why was Thomas the Tank Engine dumbed down?
I woke up early the other morning, and switched on Thomas the Tank engine for a nostalgia buzz. But this definately isn’t the same as the show I remember as a kid. There’s cheesy sing-alongs, silly problem solving puzzles and everything in general from the stories to the character personallities seems to have been watered down significantly. Even for a pre-school show, it used to be pretty sophisticated. What happened here, exactly?
probably because the main audience of the show is young kids and toddlers and thats the sort of things they like
