From Boys Room To Man Cave
Please inform us that you did not move out of your childhood home, but took all of your childhood bedroom furniture with you. If you did, that will all have to be remedied as soon as possible. If you are old enough to be on your own, you are ready to step up your game to where the big boys play. This all starts with your furniture and decorations.
Big boys play with big toys, and you have got to get into the big leagues to hit the long ball. No home runs lately? Not even many base hits? That is because you are still playing small ball. The majors are called the bigs for a reason, so start with a big couch or chair or something at the very least. A bigger beer mug does not count.
The smartest place to start living a bit larger than life is going to be the bedroom. With any luck you will be spending a lot of quality time in there, you know, sleeping and stuff. So get bigger things going on in it. Get a respectable quilt set on the bed. The grungy living in a van down by the river look is long gone for you.
What size is that new bedroom set anyways? Ideally you are now going with a king quilt set up because you are, after all, getting a larger stature for yourself. That entire expanse of fabric is going to broadcast that new bold pattern with authority. Guests will enter into that bedroom and see a man to be reckoned with. That old futon was just plain gross.
Now if you really want to look like Mister Big Stuff in the bedroom, you are going to want to check out something in a sleigh bed. These beds are flat awesome, and they are a sight to behold. Yes sir, it is a good time to put away childish things. When you get out on your own you can do things like the big boys do, right? Otherwise you should just stay at home with mom and dad until you are ready to step up some.
And when it comes right down to it, when the party is over and the shouting is through, it is really good to have a place to get some rest in. Big beds offer that more than anything else. Men who work hard and party hard will need some serious down time once in a while. When you do, go big there, too.
