Sticker Promotion for a Local Xeriscapes Business
More and more people are becoming environmentally-conscious. Going green today is in. People are starting to manifest these practices at home including changing light bulbs from halogen to compact fluorescents, from using timers on their heaters and air conditioners. Switching from regular petrol to alternative fuels such as ethanol or hydrogen is also a trend. One pleasing and healthy way to go green is also to plant xeriscapes.
Xeriscapes are more environment-friendly gardens. Although regular gardens are good, a lot of its elements require too much water maintenance, harmful fertilizers and soil disruption. Instead of planting big lawn areas or highly exotic, ornamental plants, xeriscapes are less invasive and more natural. Xeriscapes use native, drought-resistant plant species; have less lawn space; uses organic fertilizers and needs less watering. Xeriscape planting can be promoted through a variety of simple but effective marketing materials around a local area. One specific example is the use of sticker printing. Below are ideas on why stickers can be effective promotional tools
• Stickers are attractive-Stickers can be highly graphic, eye-catching materials. Since the product is decorative, xeriscapes plants and gardens can be used as sticker images. For a start-up xeriscaping business, online printing services offer full color, cheap sticker printing in standard or customized designs.
• Stickers “stick”-Stickers can easily be handed out around the neighborhood, at a community center, at the local bookstore, coffee shop, library, churches, post office, gift stores, even after church. These stickers can serve to introduce the concept of xeriscapes and act as mini flyers to scheduled community talks about gardening around the neighborhood.
• Stickers can provide contact information-Sticker prints can just as easily show contact information, website, email or store address that customers can use. Sticker designs do not have to be too large or garish. Simple but effective designs can be subtle but can compel people to care about the environment.
