Guard Yourself in Todays Crime World with the Correct Type of Pepper Spray
With all of the threats of crime in the world today, it is important to be able to defend yourself. Pepper spray is a perfect alternative of self defense. Not only is it non-lethal but it is highly effective. Though the essential ingredients may be similar, not all pepper sprays are the same. The thing that sets them apart the most is their dispersal patterns and how they are used.
The first type of pepper spray well look at is actually in the form of foam. Pepper foam works just as well as a normal pepper spray except that it is foam, like shaving cream. The biggest benefit of pepper foam is that it does not have a lot blow back, so that if it happens to be windy, it will not blow back onto you.
Another type of pepper spray is one that is dispersed in a fog form. This type of pepper spray is quite impractical for the average consumer. It would only be ideal for crowd control or even to employ against several aggressors at once. Since it is fog, the chances of the wind driving it back are extremely high.
A more realistic pepper spray and the most well liked, is one that is dispersed through what is called a forced cone. As can be guessed, the pepper spray comes out of the can in a cone shaped pattern. lends a hand to maximize the chance of hitting the target. The pepper spray is dispersed in a mist so that it will effectually soak the targets skin and membranes. Blow back isnt too much of a concern even though the pepper spray is dispersed in a mist.
Yet another dispersal method for pepper spray is the broken stream. These forms of pepper spray are like that of a high powered squirt gun, spraying pepper spray in a stream. This sort of pepper spray is ideal to have in your car in case you need to spray it at a carjacker through a cracked window. Blow back is virtually nothing.
As with any pepper spray, remember to try to aim for the face for maximum effectiveness.
