Does any one know the directions for makit and bakit xmas ornaments?
I just opened the box and we did not get the instructions. I tried looking online with no luck. Does anyone know how many crystals to use in each ornament or the temp to bake them at or for how long? Thanks for the help!!!!!
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING MAKIT & BAKIT PROJECTS
What you will need:
Conventional oven (not for use in convection or microwave ovens)
Baking sheet or pizza pan
Aluminum foil
Metal Makit & Bakit frames
Baking crystals
Small teaspoon
Tweezers
Potholder or oven mitt
1. Cover a baking sheet or pizza pan with aluminum foil. Make extra sure not to wrinkle the foil, and make sure that the shiny side is up.
2. Place the metal frame(s) onto the cookie sheet.
3. Sprinkle the baking crystals to fill each section with desired color, heaping full in the center and level at metal edges. Use a teaspoon for larger areas and tweezers for smaller areas.
4. Make sure that area is well ventilated. Preheat oven to 375° F. Place baking sheet in center of oven, for about 15-25 minutes, or until the project has a smooth, glass-like surface. If you desire your project to have a rippled texture, take the project out earlier, about 10-15 minutes. It is fun to watch the project melt if your oven has a window! If white crystals are left in too long, they may “yellow.”
5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven using a potholder, and allow the project to cool at least 10 minutes. You will hear the melted plastic separating from the baking sheet or foil.
6. Peel the project off the baking sheet or foil.
IMPORTANT:
STRONG adult supervision is recommended for children aged 10 and under.
Plastic is flammable, but it is as safe in a conventional oven as a cake. Do not place near flame or broiler. Do not make these projects in a microwave or convection oven.
A slight chemical odor will be given off during the heating process, which is not offensive in a well-ventilated room.
Do not swallow plastic crystals.
I found this online i hope it helps you!
